Citibank Hungary
Between 2013 and 2018, while working at Jeney Repro Kft., I delivered front-end development for Citibank Hungary. The engagement ranged from contributing to the complete rebranding of citibank.hu to the continuous production of campaign assets.
Challenge
The banking campaigns required a large volume of landing pages, calculators, forms, and eDMs to be implemented from supplied visual designs, often within short delivery cycles. Because browsers of that period differed substantially, the same interfaces also had to remain usable across both legacy and modern environments.
During the early part of the engagement, browser support extended down to Internet Explorer 6 alongside Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. This required browser-specific solutions and extensive use of conditional CSS.
My role
As a front-end developer, I worked with one colleague on the complete front-end implementation of the citibank.hu rebrand. I also built more than 50 landing pages, credit and personal-loan calculators, forms, and an even larger set of campaign eDMs from supplied designs.
Implementing the measurement scripts supplied by Citibank was also part of the development work, although our team did not have access to the campaign analytics or business results.
Solution
I translated the visual designs into working campaign interfaces, including the client-side behaviour of calculators and forms. Browser-compatibility issues were handled through targeted front-end fixes, browser-specific CSS rules, and conditional CSS.
The related eDMs were produced with visual and content consistency across each campaign, while the supplied measurement scripts were implemented in their required locations.
Outcome and evidence
The result was a substantial body of enterprise front-end work delivered continuously over several years, covering both a complete rebrand and numerous individual campaign implementations. The screenshots retained in the portfolio demonstrate the range of landing pages, calculators, and campaign creative delivered during the engagement.
Because the development team did not have access to analytics results, this case study makes no conversion or business-impact claims. Its value is demonstrated by the scope of delivery, the technical constraints, and the long-running collaboration. The original pages are no longer online following Citibank’s exit from Hungarian consumer banking.
